For Material Suppliers

Get specified before the tender drops.

AU/NZ construction leads for material suppliers — facade, cladding, steel, roofing — pushed into your HubSpot at DA stage, with architects, builders and developers already linked. Your reps chase specs, not tenders.

Reach the architect before the drawings name someone else.

By tender stage the spec is usually locked. GrowthNGen flips your pipeline to DA and Design Development — the weeks that actually decide who gets specified. Your team pitches the product into the drawings, not against a named competitor.

Projects at DA stage

Matching projects land in HubSpot the moment a DA lodges. Weeks of lead time before the tender.

hub

Architects and builders linked

Every project arrives with the right stakeholders already attached. No more hunting on LinkedIn for who to ring.

public

One national pipeline

Every state, every region, one feed. Regional reps work from the same board. Territory coverage without the headcount.

Built for how material suppliers actually win work

Your BD team knows their product. They shouldn't be stuck on Cordell Connect exports and CRM data entry.

Spec-window visibility

See projects while drawings are still in motion. The weeks where product selection actually gets decided.

groups

Stakeholder graph, not a list

Architect, builder, engineer, developer — linked to every project they touch, across your whole pipeline.

Filter by what you actually supply

Commercial only. Projects over $5M. Steel-framed. Set your search once; only the relevant work comes through.

Contract Let, builder changed, stage shifted — your reps get pinged when a project becomes actionable.

How it works

Three steps. Live in under two weeks. No bespoke scoping, no multi-week discovery.

01

We map your HubSpot

Pipeline stages, deal properties, contact records — we use what you already have. No rebuild required.

02

We tune the search to your spec window

Project type, region, value, stakeholder role — set to surface projects at DA stage with architects, builders and developers attached. As narrow as your sales team needs.

03

DA-stage projects start landing

Matching projects show up in HubSpot with the architect, builder and developer already linked. Stage updates flow through automatically. Your reps are talking to spec-makers weeks before the tender drops.

GrowthNGen has become our unfair advantage. It's removed the bottleneck of manual data work. We can now search at the organisational level and surface the right opportunities effortlessly into our CRM, and at scale. The results have been immediate. A stronger pipeline, higher conversions, and project wins that have already paid for years of use.

Common Questions

What we get asked across every customer type — suppliers, builders, consultancies. ICP-specific questions are below.

How is this different from logging into a project database on its own?

GrowthNGen is built on Cotality — the construction project intelligence platform behind Cordell Connect. Instead of your reps logging into a separate platform, searching, exporting CSV and copy-pasting into the CRM, the data flows into HubSpot automatically with architects, builders and developers already linked. Cotality API access is bundled with GrowthNGen, so there's no separate Cordell Connect Lite subscription to manage. Your reps open HubSpot and the pipeline is current.

Can we filter by what we actually pursue?

Yes. Search profiles filter by region, project value, stage, type, stakeholder role, and discipline. As narrow or broad as your team needs. Set the profile once and only matching projects flow through — everything else stays out of the way.

Will it mess with our existing HubSpot setup?

No. We map into your existing pipeline, deal stages and contact properties. If something needs a tweak — a custom property, a new stage — we handle it during onboarding. Most teams go live without changing their HubSpot at all.

How long does it take to go live?

Under two weeks for most teams. We handle the HubSpot mapping, the search-profile setup and the first projects flowing through. You don't need a developer.

What happens when a project changes stage?

The HubSpot record updates automatically. Contract Let, DA approved, builder changed, design phase — it flows through. Your rep can get a notification when something material happens. No stale records, no manual check-ins.

Questions from material supply teams

The things BD and commercial leaders ask us before getting started.

How early can we see a project?

DA stage in most councils — sometimes earlier. That's the window where architects are still specifying products. You're in the conversation weeks before anyone gets a tender invite.

We have reps in three states. Does it work across a team?

That's the point. One search profile, one HubSpot, every rep sees the opportunities in their patch. National view for managers. Regional deals flow to the right owner. The chaos of regional spreadsheets goes away.

Can we track which architects are specifying what across multiple projects?

Yes. Architects are linked to every project they touch in the feed. Over time you build a view of which practices are designing in your patch, what they're specifying, and which ones recur as multi-project relationships. That changes BD from chasing single projects to building practice-level relationships.

Will it surface projects where we haven't been specified yet?

Yes — that's the use case. Your search profile filters by project type, region, value and stage, not by whether you've been spec'd in. The point is to see commercial projects matching your supply profile at design development so you can reach the architect before the spec is locked.

What about projects in design development that never proceed?

A portion of any pipeline is projects that stall or cancel. Stage updates flow through your HubSpot automatically, so cancelled projects move to a closed stage rather than cluttering your live pipeline. Most teams find 70-85% of DA-stage projects progress to tender within 12 months.

Can we use this if our spec wins are mostly through structural engineers, not architects?

Yes. Structural and MEP engineering practices are linked to projects the same way architects are. If your sales motion is engineer-driven (common for steel, cladding-tie systems and structural products) you can prioritise projects by appointed engineer, not just appointed architect.
