Get designed in, not quoted against.
Every AU/NZ project where structural steel is on the drawings — surfaced into your HubSpot at design development, with the architect, structural engineer and builder already linked. Reach the engineer while the connections are still being detailed.

By tender, the steel package has been specified. The fabricator who got there earlier usually wins.
Structural steel is largely won at design development — when the engineer is choosing sections, designing connections, and (informally) thinking about who detailed similar buildings well last time. GrowthNGen surfaces those projects while the drawings are still in motion, with the engineering practice already attached.
Projects at design development
Surface commercial projects in DA and design development stages, where steel detailing decisions are still open. Weeks of lead time before the head contractor goes out to tender.
Structural engineer attached
Every project arrives with the structural engineering practice linked. The conversations that decide who fabricates steel happen in that office, not on the head contractor's tender list.
Programme intelligence
See projects clustered by likely construction start. Plan workshop capacity and steel ordering against a real forward pipeline, not against tender response volume.
Built for how fabricators actually win complex steel work
Your detailers know how to draw a portal frame. They shouldn't be the ones tracking which engineer is designing what.
Spec-window visibility
See commercial and industrial projects with structural steel components while drawings are still in motion. The window where the fabricator on the drawings is usually the fabricator on the job.
Engineer-architect-builder graph
The structural engineer, lead architect, and (when appointed) head contractor — all linked to each project they touch. Build relationships across the practice, not one project at a time.
Filter to your fabrication mix
High-rise, industrial sheds, infrastructure, architectural feature steel — set your filters once. Only the projects matching your workshop's capability flow through.
Stage alerts
Project moves to Contract Let, builder changes, structural engineer joins — your reps know the moment something actionable happens.
How it works
Three steps. Live in under two weeks. No bespoke scoping or multi-week discovery.
We map your HubSpot
Pipeline stages, deal properties, contact records — we use what you already have. No rebuild required.
We tune the search to your steel mix
Project type, region, value range, structural engineer, builder relationship — set to surface design-development projects with the right stakeholders attached.
Design-stage projects start landing
Matching projects show up in HubSpot with the structural engineer, architect and (when appointed) head contractor already linked. Your detailers are talking to the engineering office while the connections are still being drawn.
Common Questions
What we get asked across every customer type — suppliers, builders, consultancies. ICP-specific questions are below.
How is this different from using Cordell Connect on its own?
Cordell Connect is the database. GrowthNGen is the pipeline. Today your team logs in, searches, exports to CSV, then copy-pastes into HubSpot — every day, hours a week. GrowthNGen sits between Cordell and your CRM. New projects matching your search profile land in HubSpot automatically with architects, builders and developers already linked. Your reps open HubSpot and the pipeline is current.
Can we filter by what we actually pursue?
Yes. Search profiles filter by region, project value, stage, type, stakeholder role, and discipline. As narrow or broad as your team needs. Set the profile once and only matching projects flow through — everything else stays out of the way.
Will it mess with our existing HubSpot setup?
No. We map into your existing pipeline, deal stages and contact properties. If something needs a tweak — a custom property, a new stage — we handle it during onboarding. Most teams go live without changing their HubSpot at all.
How long does it take to go live?
Under two weeks for most teams. We handle the HubSpot mapping, the search-profile setup and the first projects flowing through. You don't need a developer.
What happens when a project changes stage?
The HubSpot record updates automatically. Contract Let, DA approved, builder changed, design phase — it flows through. Your rep can get a notification when something material happens. No stale records, no manual check-ins.
Questions from fabrication teams
The things commercial managers and BD leads ask before getting started.
How early can we see a project that's likely to have a steel package?
DA stage in most councils. From there, design development typically runs four to twelve weeks depending on project complexity. That's the window where the structural engineer is choosing sections, designing connections, and forming opinions about fabricator capability. You're in the conversation before any builder runs a tender.
Can we target by specific structural engineering practices?
Yes. If you've built relationships with TTW, Aurecon, Northrop, Mott MacDonald, Ackland or your specific target list, your search profile can prioritise projects where those engineers are appointed. Projects from unfamiliar practices flow through separately as new-relationship opportunities.
Will this work for both architectural steel and structural steel?
Yes. Search profiles can filter by project type (commercial high-rise, industrial sheds, infrastructure, feature architectural elements) and by likely value range. Most fabricators run two or three profiles — one for bread-and-butter structural, one for higher-margin architectural work.

Facade and Cladding Suppliers: 4 Ways to Reach Architects Before Spec Lock-In
By the time a commercial project goes to tender, the facade spec is usually already chosen. Here is how AU and NZ facade suppliers get in front of architects and design teams while they are still making decisions.
Pre-Tender vs Tender-Stage Leads: Why Timing Kills Construction Sales Pipelines
Most construction BD teams are working tender-stage leads when the contract has effectively been decided. Here is what changes when you move your team earlier.
How to Connect Construction Project Data to HubSpot (AU & NZ Guide)
Most construction sales teams in Australia and New Zealand are still manually copying project data into HubSpot. Here is how to stop doing that.
Ready to win steel work at the drawing board, not at tender?
See your pipeline on GrowthNGen in 15 minutes. We'll show you the AU/NZ projects that would have landed in your HubSpot this week — with the right engineers and architects already attached.
